BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This 5k run/walk has been organized in memory of John D Hawkes, and for the benefit of all who have been touched by Parkinson’s disease. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Michael J Fox Foundation. Help find freedom by finding a cure.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Start at 2230 E. Evergreen Ave. Circle Church building and exit on to Evergreen Ave heading West. Turn left on 2000 East, turn right on Millbrook Drive, turn left on Honeycut, turn left Siggard drive, turn right on Green Briar Way, turn left on 3865 South, continue on this road will curve to the left, then turn right on 3780 South, turn left on 2245 East, turn left on 2176 South, turn right on Keller Lane, turn left on 2300 East, turn left on Evergreen Ave, then proceed to the finish line.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES: Online registrations will be accepted up until June 5, 2008. Mail-in registrations will only be accepted until May 24, 2008. Same day registrations will be accepted for $15.00. IMPORTANT: Any registration received after May 24th will not be guaranteed a T-shirt! This includes same day registrations.

PACKET PICK-UP: Packet pickup will be from 7:00-7:45 a.m. on race day June 7th. Race begins at 8:00 a.m.

RUNNER'S AWARDS: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place participants overall. 1st place overall prize: 52” RCA big screen TV. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place participants in all age categories male and female: 8 & Under, 9-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over. T-shirt given to all pre-registered participants.

COURSE RULES: Please obey the direction of the course cones and arrows. When entering the finish chute, please keep moving and hand the bottom portion of your bib number to finish line personnel. Runners timing clock will only run for 60 minutes. MOST IMPORTANT! BE ALERT OF TRAFFIC!! Public roads will not be closed for the event. Use extreme caution on 2300 East. Use the side walks. Strollers are allowed on the course.
